Islay is not a large island so getting from one place to another is simple. Most visitors will either bring their car on the ferry or hire a vehicle on the island.

There is also a frequent post bus / coach service running on 4 routes covering most of the island.
Several taxi services are available some of which offer professionally guided tours. Ask at your accommodation for information.
