Kilchoman Beach
West Islay

 

Also known as Machir Bay is the middle of the three main west coast beaches on the island. Easily reached from the car park at the end of the minor road leading from Bruichladdich past Kilchoman Distillery.

 

This Beach features a long sandy strand a mile long and offers easy walking along its length. Great surf on a westerly wind when the tide is coming in.
